I recently had to have a root canal for the first time and chose Dr Tran based on her excellent reviews and convenient location. As others have commented, I also found Dr Tran to be very considerate, delicate and ever mindful of the patient's comfort and peace of mind. While I hope that I never need to return personally, I would certainly recommend Dr Tran to others that find themselves in a similar position. I felt no pain or discomfort at all during any of the process.

Dr. Tran and her team are fantastic. Hard to call a root canal a "good experience" but Dr. Tran squeezed me into her schedule for an emergency visit, I had virtually no wait on either of my visits, and the experience was painless. This is a well-run practice that works extra hard to make sure patients are comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Tran. Also, quite pleased to get such high quality at a 57th street location while still being able to use my insurance.

Wow. After months of low-level misery over a super sensitive molar - any cold liquid or air sent sharp pains throughout the tooth - I feel as if I have gained a new lease on life. Thank you Lisa Tran! I experienced zero pain and next to no discomfort during the procedure. And the glorious nitrous oxide alleviated all anxiety I had. Now I see that all worries about pain were entirely misplaced. I cannot imagine anyone more professional than Dr. Tran. She answered my 101 questions with patience, and did everything possible to make sure the procedure went smoothly. She even texted me a few days afterward in order to check up on me. Lisa is so amazing and professional at her job that I want to tell every New Yorker in need of a root canal to seek her help. It starts here, with my first ever review on Yelp.

I was in terrible tooth pain and I assumed that I needed a root canal. When I went to my regular dentist, he recommended I see an endodontist because he believed a root canal I had done 10+ years ago was infected, and it was not a new problem. The first endodontist I went to, spent two minutes with me and took one x-ray, before telling me that I may need surgery if the normal procedure doesn’t work. I didn’t feel reassured that they can do the proper work, and I was lucky enough to find Doctor Tran who works with Doctor Kaplan. The location of the office is great - 1 block from the F train in Midtown - the building security and Doctor Tran’s receptionists were very friendly. The waiting area is spacious, and the facilities are clean and up to date. Doctor Tran has a dental assistant who took three separate x-rays, and performed multiple tests on the tooth to make sure she had the full understanding of the problem. She clearly explained what the problem with my tooth was, and how she would not only treat the infection but help prevent it from coming back in the future. They have iPads in their office and can show you the x-rays in real time. The price quoted for the work was very reasonable, and included 2 follow up visits, more importantly no surgery was discussed and Doctor Tran was confident that she can take care of the infection and save the tooth (unlike the other endodontist I visited). Doctor Tran was able to start the work right away, and I was pain free the next day. During my follow up visit Doctor Tran confirmed that the infection was gone - she showed me again on an xray on an iPad - and she sealed up the root canal (it had been improperly sealed, thus the infection - and again showed me her work on an xray on an iPad. She even sent the xrays to my regular dentist so he can stay in the loop. She was very attentive in the entire process, and it was pain free. She even followed up with me the next day to see how I was doing. Included with the fee, I will be able to return in 5-6 months for a follow up visit. Do yourself a favor, if you have tooth pain that requires a root canal, and you are required to see an endodontist, schedule a visit to Doctor Tran dental office.

I went into see Dr. Tran for a root canal. Her excellent bedside manner immediately put me at ease. I was afraid that the procedure and recovery process would be painful, but it was the exact opposite - I felt fine just hours after. Dr. Tran is also extremely meticulous and shows genuine concern for her patients. She made sure that I understood what the procedure entailed and checked up on me to ask if I was feeling okay the day after. Overall a very pleasant and pain-free experience. I would recommend 10/10.
